A rather typical 1970s bath in both size and fixture color (!), the homeowners sought mainly a product update; however a walk-in shower was by far more practical than the existing tub/shower combination. The homeowner also fell in love with a rich blue mosaic tile that needed to be incorporated into the proper design / look for her future gem.
The introduction of a glass block window in the shower, in lieu of the previous aluminum sliding unit, provided not only ample light and privacy, but also injected a bit of a modern look to the space. Once the space was finished off with a semi-frameless shower door, metal trim / edges for the tile, and a quaint, floor-saving pedestal sink, the room suddenly was transformed forty years into the future. A true transformation!
