In addition to updating all the kitchen products, the customer requested that the peninsula-based design that created an unnecessary barrier between the kitchen and eat-in area be addressed in the overall space planning.
Having already appliance locations that worked well from a flow perspective, the main design-related change was simply to eliminate the peninsula in lieu of an island. Modernizing the remaining kitchen products and adding new recessed and pendant lighting in support of the new island-based layout provided just the perfect facelift for this kitchen project.

Install undermount sink with single arm faucet and built-in water filtration system. Add general and task lighting, including low-voltage under-cabinet lights. Include removal of 12’ load-bearing wall, adding header supported by 2 decorative fluted columns. Remove vinyl sheet flooring and install oak hardwood flooring finished to match other rooms.
