Spacious Kitchen - Atlee

Project Objective:

The corner lot orientation of the house greatly affected the entry point for most visitors. Rather that walking a significantly longer distance using the front walkway, porch, and entry door, most everyone chose the garage entrance rigth into the back side of the kitchen. The entrance from the garage dumped visitors right into the already crowded back side of the island causing a Mechanicsville log jam...that had to be fixed!

Scope of Work:

The solution was to re-purpose the existing dining room into a multi-purpose extension of the kitchen containing cubbies, work desk, and a wet bar. The door from the garage was moved into this space to allow visitors to now enter into a space well out of the way of food preparation. The formal front living room that then re-purposed into the slighly-used-more-often formal dining room. The pantry closet that now sorely stuck out into the kitchen space was recessed into the garage space (near the old garage entry door)....that allowed for the crowning jewel...an 8' long island with beefy legs and offsetting black cabinets that provided the perfect focal point for the kitchen. Voila!

Other Projects for This Customer

As rookies to the renovation process, we were more than satisfied with Deep Run Renovations during our major kitchen remodel. Gary and his staff worked closely with our family to ensure a pleasant working environment. Gary did a great job with the design of the kitchen as well as keeping us within our budget throughout the entire process. His knowledge of the industry and his many contacts were extremely helpful while working through unexpected issues. Jamie, Casey and the rest of the crew became family to us and all four of our children asked for them by name (over and over again!) Their workmanship was stellar. We could not be more pleased with the final product and continue to receive amazing comments about our kitchen. Thanks Deep Run Renovations!
