Maximizing the buildable space allowed by the County, a shallow but long screened porch was created in place of the demolished deck. The room was designed with solid, lower kneewalls around the perimeter for just the right amount of privacy. An open ceiling with exposed rafters made the ceiling appear higher than what it actually was...with the roofline restricted by several second floor windows. And to top it off, a large brick fireplace was incorporated into the center of the space creating a warm and inviting outdoor space for years to come.
Cozy Outdoor Space - Short Pump
Simultaneously with construction of a new front porch, the customers also wanted to create a new outdoor space in the rear of the home. A roofed structure, screening to protect against the bugs, some level of privacy, and a fireplace to unwind at the end of the day were on the must-have list.
