Wishing to create an old style country porch, this customer decided to add a full width porch to the existing exterior of the home.
Use of brick on the foundation, steps, deck, and sidewalk created a focal point set off by the white porch railing and columns. This porch addition not only increased curb appeal, but provided the customer with a useful area to enjoy watching and conversing with neighbors and passer-byers.

Utilizing existing 12 X 16 deck system whose construction design supports the additional weight of a roof system, add a shed roof using existing footprint of deck. Include tie in to existing house and asphalt shingles. 4X4 SYP posts w/ ScreenTight screen system. Exposed rafters w/ single ceiling fan in center of room. Install solid screening on top of existing decking and recover w/ new 5/4 SYP pressure-treated deck boards.
