With an aging parent on her way from California to Richmond and a new home a little more than six months old, the customer was faced with the need for a small space that her mother could retire to that was convenient to her bedroom. A small reading room with plenty of natural light and a secondary access to the deck area was just the right solution. Light-colored walls, large windows, a vaulted ceiling, and a nice quiet ceiling fan made this the perfect area for a cozy parental suite.
