With a very modest sized existing master bathroom and closet, the project focused around creating more space for bathroom amenities and a significanly larger walk-in closet. As the existing bedroom was located on an exterior wall above and adjacent to the carport, the approach was to create a second-story addition over the front half of the carport to serve solely as the bathroom and closet area. An existing window opening on the end of the house provided the entry into the room and virtually negated any impact on thier existing space until the room was ready to be finished.
