Creating a more open kitchen and dining area was the goal of this remodel. A structural beam and foundation pier were installed to allow a majority of the wall between the two areas to be removed. In its place, a peninsula cabinet was installed with a raised eating ledge. In finishing out the kitchen space, a new Pella sliding glass door was installed leading to a screened porch.
