Possessing the original galley-style kitchen from the 1960's, the customer's knew they were long overdue for a facelift. Expanding the kitchen via the form of an addition was not within their budget, so the main focus was to increase the storage space via larger 42" wall cabinets and update the products within. A major additional feature was to open up the wall between the kitchen and adjacent dining room. A couple steel lentils and intermediate supporting column did just the trick. The opening provided a dramatic view both into and out of the kitchen and allowed the two rooms to be utilized as one.
