Second Story Addition in Tuckahoe, VA

Project Objective:

The overwhelming impetus for this project was a desire for more living space. The customer wanted to maximize the buildable space on their property to achieve the most spacious living area possible without spending a fortune. The customer decided on a two-story addition, realizing that building up is more cost-effective. The upper level addition served as a master suite extension with a large closet and master bathroom. The lower level of the addition offered an expanded area for a family room and general living space. Working with a very strict budget, the customer opted to do much of the finishing work himself as time and finances permitted.
